ABOUT US

Our school is located in its own grounds on the edge of the village and has many facilities. The building is a generous size and even has its own swimming pool as until 1981 it was the local Secondary School! There are six classes with the Foundation Stage (3-5 yrs)following the Early Years Foundaton Curriculum and Key Stages One (5-7 yrs) and Two (8-11 yrs) following the National Primary Curriculum.

In addition to the usual curriculum children can learn to play an instrument or join other clubs such as cycling, gardening, computing and most sports.

All of the children get a piece of free fruit each day and under 7s can buy a daily carton of milk. School Meals are provided each day, cooked on-site using fresh local produce.

We have a School Bus that collects children from both ends of the village and from West Stockwith. A taxi service is also available for those living outside this area.

Breakfast Club runs each day from 8.30am for a small charge and the After-School Club also provides activities to 6.00pm along with a light tea.

The school has an active Home School Association (H.S.A.) which arranges many fundraising activities including a twice yearly Book Fayre, Summer Fayre and Discos.
